Ministère d'Etat (State Minster)

Services des Médias et de l'Audiovisuel (Media and Audiovisual Service)

It is the administrative staff of the Minister for the Media, which also assists the Independent Radio-diffusion Commission and the National Council for Programmes.

Conseil National des Programmes (National Council for Programmes)

It is the independent advisory body of the Government for the surveillance of TV/radio programmes and the identification of breaches of the relevant legislation.

Commission Indépendante de la Radiodiffusion (Independent Radio-diffusion Commission)

It is the independent authority entrusted with the tasks of control over radios in the country.

It advises the Government on media policies and represents it with the media-related associations and trade unions.

Self-regulation bodies

Commission Luxembourgeoise pour l'Ethique en Publicité (CLEP) (Luxembourg Commission for Advertising Ethics)

The Commission has been set up and funded by the advertising industry to apply code and rules regulating advertising content. The Commission receives complaints for investigation, and in case the complaint is upheld, the advertiser will be requested to withdraw or amend the advertisement.
Following a restructuring of the industry associations, a new self-regulatory project is being put in place in 2005. The project aims to reinforce and relaunch the self-regulatory system in terms of its effective functioning, the establishment of a permanent secretariat, and the raising of self-regulation's profile with industry and consumers.

The Commission is a member of EASA (European Advertising Standards Alliance).
