Cyprus Radio-Television Authority

The Cyprus Radio Television Authority is an independent regulatory body established under the Radio and Television Stations Law. It is responsible for issuing and renewing licenses for radio and television and monitoring the ownership of radio and television stations. Its tasks also include avoiding media concentrations and monitoring the content of radio and television programs to ensure compliance with the Radio and Television Stations Law and regulations by broadcasters.

Part 10 Advertising

Prohibits advertisements of children's toys until 22:00 on weekends, during school holidays and the days preceding.

Further limitations are imposed regarding the content and techniques employed on children's advertising.
