Dr. Elisa Manna

 

Profile

Dr Manna is Director of Department of Cultural Policies, at Censis, Centre for Social Studies and Policies,  a socio-economic research institute founded in Rome in 1964.
She is also a member of the “Comitato TV e Minori”  (Committee for the Implementation of the Italian Code on TV and Minors). member of the bilateral Commission  Authority/Committee TV and Children. She was member of the Scientific Committee of the Unesco International Forum “Media and Youth”, (Paris '97). She is also deputy President of the Cultural Association “Gennaro Manna”, that organizes an award for Social Science in collaboration with the Municipality of Rome. She is also member of scientific Commettee of Fondazione Risorsa Donna and Fondazione "Women in music". She carried out also many researches about the relation between different audiences (immigrants, women) and television.

Dr Manna has conducted many research projects on the influence of television on people for RAI public television, for the Italian Communication Authority, several  studies on the re-launching of children's television,  and on the effect of advertising.
