Dr. Emma Banister
Profile
Dr. Banister is a lecturer in marketing at Lancaster University, Lancaster UK. Her research interests focus on consumer behaviour and in particular the role that products and brands play in consumers’ identity formation. Current research focuses on new mothers, young people and alcohol consumption and other projects related to symbolic consumption. She has carried out research on the socialisation of young consumers; the formation of tastes and distastes and is interested in methodological approaches to research with children and young people.
